Rash - March 31st 2009, 03:58 AM

This rash has been on my foot for over a long time ( at least over a year maybe more) seems to be really really dry skin, its actually better then it normally is. I can put dry skin cream, medicine, etc on it but it only gets to about where it is right now and never gets any better. If I stop the treatment it hardens up into really dry skin.

Anyone have any ideas of what this may be or if it's just severe dry skin how to treat it?

Hey Martin,

I am sorry this rash has been bothering you for so long. Is there any way you can see a dermatologist or at least a general care physician about it? Any medical condition should get checked out if it has been persisting for this long even a rash. It looks to me like you might have eczema. To learn more about eczema you can go to this link:
Are any other physical symptoms accompanying the rash? Is it present on any other parts of your body? Does anything make is worse that you know of? I hope you can get some medical treatment for it soon. Take care and get well soon.

There are no other symptoms with the rash. It rarely ever even itches. It hasn't spread at all in the year+ its been there either.

Why haven't you seen a doctor before now?

It does look like it might be some type of eczema, but we're not doctors. We can't diagnose it, so maybe consider going to the doctor?
