Odd Pains - April 12th 2012, 01:41 AM

I've been getting these really weird muscle pains all through my body but different spots at different times.
Last Thursday the pain was in my right hand next to my thumb. I am right handed with everything so I just put it down as writing pains and it went away by about Saturday.
But then yesterday the backs of my shins were so sore I could barley walk, and this morning it has travelled up to my thighs and oddly enough, along the side of my left pinky.
I don't do any strenuous exersise and I've been spending most of my time sitting or lying down since about last Friday when the Easter holidays started.
I'm just wondering what these pains could be. I also should mention that I can't get to a doctor until next Tuesday.
Thanks for reading

Re: Odd Pains - April 12th 2012, 04:22 PM

It is actually possible to have pains from lack of use. Since you said you haven't been doing much since Easter holidays, you could just be losing muscle tone. Meaning, now picking up a pencil causes your muscles to cramp. It only takes a few days to begin losing muscle tone.

However, this is still something to see a doctor about, so I do suggest seeing one as soon as you can. Otherwise, just try moving around more and keeping your body active, but don't overexert yourself either.
