Took a Joint yesterday....and regret it - May 1st 2009, 07:41 AM

Hi

Yesterday i gave into pressure and took half a joint of weed. The effects soon began, Slow vision, Heart racing, Closed in, scared, shaking. It was scary.

I feel bad becouse i always promised my mum and dad i would never take drugs but yesterday i went and took some weed. I dont want to tell them becouse of how much trouble i will get in if i do. I still sort of feel the effects now, kinda tired, slow vision but noware near like it was yesterday.

I will be sighning up for the Raf after my current college course and i think you have to take a drugs test, hopefully you dont have to.

An how long will it take to get the weed out of my body fully and for the effects to finally wear off?

thanks

It depends on the amount you took and whether it was laced with anything else in it or not. I'd estimate a day or so but I'm not entirely sure.

Hey, don't feel too guilty about it. Most teenagers try weed at least once in their life, and if you regret it, you're a step ahead of a lot of them.

As for how long it stays in your system, that depends on a lot of things such as your weight, metabolism, fluid intake, etc. It also depends on what kind of drug test they administer. In urine, it's possible for them to detect marijuana in your system up to 30 days after smoking it. However, since I'm assuming this was the only time you've done it, I doubt it will. The effects will likely wear off today, and the weed will probably leave your system within the next few days.

If you only did it once you'll be fine. If you were to have any regrets before dying, I highly doubt smoking weed should be one of them. You probably freaked out because you were thinking about it too much and because you were freaked out. That high is not what pot feels like when you get used to it or chill out.

Blurrysunset is right. It could take up to 30 days to get out of your system, but Seeing as you didnt smoke very much, you should be fine. It will be out of your system in a week or so. I garentee that the effects of it have worn off already! Weed never lasts more than a few hours at the very most. I think that you are overthinking this and worrying which is causing you to feel "effects" still. If your looking for them, you will find them. Just relax and stop worrying and you will feel normal again.

Agreed. Dont do it and you hve nothing to worry or feel guilty about.

I would rather a bottle infront of me, than a frontal labotomy.

One time won't mess you up, and that sounds like a lot of first highs, especially if you were very nervous/unsure about it. Anxiety destroys trips But really, don't regret it, see it as an experience you can learn from! It doesn't sound laced either...

Hey Will, Im sorry you got pressured into doing this. But just learn from this, it'll be okay.

Not entirely certain but Im pretty sure it can stay in your system for about a month.

Yesterday I saw you kissing tiny flowers
But everything that lives is born to die
And so I say to you that nothing really matters
And all you do is stand and cry.

If it was your first time it'll feel really really scary, so as said, atleast 24-30 hours. I wouln't recommend doing it again however.
