Eating weed? - May 31st 2009, 11:10 PM

So this is my first post on here.

Today me and a friend smoked two joints, we were pretty high and thought of putting some of our weed into food.
Yeah this is pretty strange but we put them inside a rocky biscuit

Anyway, what I wanted to ask is, how long does it take for weed you ate to take effect?
This was hours ago so I'm not high anymore but I'm doing something pretty important tomorrow so I would like to know if I'll be ok for then?
I'm sure I will cause I'm not feeling the effects anymore but just want reassurance.

This is a problem I have and I do want to tackle it but at the same time I love it and I don't want to stop even though I know it's harmful.

Eating weed can take around an hour to hit, and the high will feel different but will usually last around the same length of time as a smoking high. You'll definitely be sober tomorrow.

Be careful when you mix smoking and eating weed because it's really easy to consume too much, leaving you uncomfortably high.

You wont get high until a lot later than smoking a joint. Space cakes work on the same principle.

It all depends really. There's a certain way to eat weed and it might not even work for you. I've heard of plenty of people eating up to an 8th of weed (3.5 g) and it didn't work at all. If you want to get obliterated from weed look up recipes. Weed brownies are pretty simple and standard. Sometimes after eating weed, you may still be a little high the day after or a little loopy.

I'd prefer to smoke it because getting high that way is way easier. But if you want to eat it, try baking something and adding the weed into it. That's the only thing I can think of cuz eating it raw, ewh! That stuff doesn't exactly taste the best.

I need to meet someone who gets me.

Not to panic you atall, put i know someone who if eats it can still be high the next day, i would suggest being carefull not to take it the day before exams, as i know when i have smoked it in the past i have felt really bad the next day, almost like a bad hangove. You also need to make sure that if you do continue to do weed that you get it from someone you can trust, as in the past i have know people to pass out because of the effects of bad weed.
So just be carefull about the quantity

It's better to dissolve in it something fatty like butter and cook it into food (unless its hash and then you dont need to disolve it I believe). As said, it usually takes an hour to come into effect if its going to.

Eating it straight, like just the leaves is unlikely to make you high (you'd need a lot of it), and if you feel fine, it's not going to suddenly make you high in the morning. You'll sleep it off.

That may be the case for you, but that's not the case for everyone who smokes weed and we're talking about eating weed. Not smoking it and not hangovers. The high from eating weed can be remarkably different and much more intense then by simply smoking it. Alot of times when eating weed, you can't even drive let alone get up.

Thanks for all the replies.

I don't think I'll be putting it in food again because it did have an effect but didn't last as long as when smoking it so there's not much point in doing it really!

I didn't have an exam or anythin the next day but had to be in school for a meeting, I was absolutely fine so thank goodness for that
Thanks again guys!
