Alcohol makes me look pale? - January 20th 2009, 03:12 PM

Whenever I'm out on a night out and I've had quite a bit to drink, I look really pale. I don't know wether it's the alcohol playing tricks on my mind or wether I really am pale. I was just wondering if anyone knows why it happens, if there is a way to stop it and will I look pale to everyone else or just myself.

Thank you!!

It could be the lighting, alcohol is a vasodilator which means your skin should get more red than pale. I suppose it could also be the cold room since you do lose more heat.

Only way to stop it is to drink less I suppose

Guess, it could be your body's way of reacting to alcohol since everyone's acts differently when they intake it.

Going flush I've heard of but going pale? Assuming there's not some effect of the environment (i.e. lighting), I'd assume dehydration causing you to look paler.
