Try to keep busy by doing things such as hanging out with friends or family or pick up a new hobbie that fills up your time and is fun too. If you have the cash you could also try hypnosis. It's worked for some people I know.

Hey Craig,

The best thing to have with you on the road to quitting smoking is the will to keep trying. Know that you might mess up, you might fall back and smoke, but keep trying and keep going. You can do this and just because you slip up here and there doesn't mean you've failed. Don't give up and you'll be able to stop smoking. That's one of the most important things to remember.

I know they have a new pill you can be prescribed by your doctor, I believe it's called Chantix. It's supposed to be very good in helping control cravings. You might want to ask your doctor about that? Also, be sure to cut back on being around people that smoke. Try to keep busy, like said above. Also, minimize the stress where you can. If you feel things building up inside, write it down and vent it in a positive way. There are also these sticks you can buy and they feel like a smoke in your mouth, but you can't smoke them like cigarettes. It's just something else you can try.

Remember, you can do this and so long as you don't give up, anything is possible. Take your time and you can do this. If you need anyone, let me know - I'm a PM away. Take care.

I have tried several times to quit smoking and I did quit once for over a year and started back the way I ended up quitting was to just go cold turkey and it was bad for a few days but hey it did work.
