Hey there Nicole (:

Talking to your friends about drugs, now there's a tough topic. I'm so glad to hear how worried you are about her, and that you care. That's so great! You're a great friend.

The help can often depend on what drugs she's taking, or the potential professional help anyway. No matter what she is taking, talking to a friend like you, can always be of so much help. More then you realize. If she is taking a more intense or chemical drug, you may want to talk to someone like a school counselor or her parents. That stuff can get serious fast, and her life may be at risk.

Your friend may not even think she has a problem, she may have just been telling you for the sake of you knowing. Her being blind to it is really dangerous, and although it is hard, you do need to talk to her.

There is this site that gives you lots of information on how to talk to friends, how they may react and why it's important. Take a look if you think it may help, it actually is quite good, find that here.

I know that having friends around really helped me when I was on drugs. So trust me, it is worth it. Just be there for her, help her get the assistance she may need.

Take care of yourself, I really hope this can work out for you.
PM me if you have any questions at all.
-Dylan.

The best thing you can do right now is try to obtain as much information as you can about the situation.
Relax her into talking to you, have a girly night in, you open up to her and hopefully she will do the same for you.
Until then all you can do is offer your support. Let her know you are there anytime she needs someone to talk to.

But if you do find that any possible drug problem is beginning to get out of hand, don't be afraid of telling someone that can REALLY help her if your efforts are lost. I know that is hard to do but ultimately if you care about her, it's the best thing for her. Get her off of that path of destruction...

Y'know. A bit of weed here and there is harmless so try not to over react to certain things.

Hi Nicole, help her recognize her addiction problem. Convince her and talk to some expert and seek professional help. Also, it is important for her to get the required addiction treatment in order to get back to normal life. You can visit drug addiction treatment resources online to know about drug addiction signs & symtoms. You can even call a toll free number @ 800-714-8354 and talk to their counselors. They should definitely be able to help you. All the best!

Before you jump the gun of trying to get your friend to see someone, you need to see what the drug(s) are that your friend is taking. Once that's established, you also need to see if they're addicted, and then find the reasons they began the drug use, etc.... . It's too hard to give any ideas as to what to do without knowing any of that important information; if your friend drinks alcohol, say, one beer, every 1-2 months, then so what? However, if their breakfast, lunch and dinner is beer, then you have a problem on your hands.
