Unhappy i need advice on how to help my friend - September 25th 2009, 01:50 AM

my ex boyfriend smokes massive amounts of pot, snorts all kinds of pills, and most recently started doing a lot of cocaine. he used to huff duster too and does whippits? or something. he takes transformers which i guess is ecstacy and either crystal meth or heroine and eats boxes of triple-C's at a time. today he told me a story about how he did tons of coke and smoking salvia last night at his dealers house and while he was there someone ripped his dealer off and he busted out a gun. he also told me that his dealer offered to smoke crack with him. he turned it down but im sure if he asks again he'll do it. he told me he's going to new york with a couple people this weekend to buy a bunch of drugs. i have begged and pleaded with him and cried to him to stop and i've told him how much it absolutely kills me to see him do these things and he doesnt care. we have been together and apart several times because we're "too different" (his words). the different i see that he is refering to is the fact that i dont do all the drugs he does or approve of them at all like the rest of the people he hangs out with. i love him more than anything in the world. i miss the person i fell in love with: the person he was when he wasnt on drugs. we're only 18. this is when he's supposed to be starting his life not starting to end it. it seems like i've tried everything to try to make him realize what he is doing to himself and nothing i can say gets through to him. please, i dont want to give up on him and let him go rot away in this life style. he's such an amazing person. how can i help him or make him realize what he is doing or care about it or something??
