drinking problem. - October 3rd 2009, 12:15 AM

i have a drinking problem...it's not a everyday drinking problem, i function...i work and i'm going to go back to school soon..i just tend to not be able to stop drinking once i start...it's like the minute i take the first sip i just feel it like run though my veins, i know that sounds crazy, but really that's how it feels, my heart starts feeling tight and i just want one more...then one more..i just don't want to stop until i black out. i black out alot, and i don't wanna be that girl anymore i really don't but at hte same time i don't wanna stop either. it's causing probelms with my relationship yet i just don't wanna stop. i love drinking. its my favorite thing to do. everything is so much better when i'm drunk. nothing matters and i just have the most fun evver. i get to be free from all the petty bullshit for a few hours and be able to be laugh and have the time of my life. i don't want anything to happen to me tho, i'm getting older and i realize that this needs to stop..i need to get control before i end up like my dad and brother...i always laugh when people say things about my drinking...saying it runs in my family but that's not an excuse...i'm scared i'm going black out and really hurt myself one of these days..

I believe in love, lust
sex & romance.
I don't want everything
to add up to a perfect equation.
I want mess and chaos.
I want someone to go crazy
out of his mind for me.
I want to feel passion
and heat and madness.
I WANT IT ALL.

For all you know you could've already gotten hurt during one of your blackouts. Be responsible and limit yourself or don't drink at all. You're risking alot by drinking so much you black out. Tons of girls every night get raped or taken advantage of because they drink too much and black out. Alcohol is a depressant. To you it may make you feel better, but when you sober up i'm sure it doesn't feel pretty. Think of your relationships. Do you really want to sit there knowing you lost everyone and everything because of alcohol? You have too many good things to look forward to in life. Don't waste such a short time on Earth not remembering the things you did or the things that could have happened to you without your knowledge.

Honestly either learn to control it or just stop doing it. The consequences of irresponsible alcohol use are too horrible to even risk it. Drinking can be a fun and awesome experience but its your responsiblity to know your limit, and dont go past it even though at the time it seems like the greatest idea since sliced bread.

i know i'm trying. i went out last night for a friends birthday...i did good. i stopped drinking even though everyone else was still going. i made sure i had a dd and made sure i kept my eye on the clock so i didn't get home too late and upset my boyfriend. i was a hour later getting home then i planned, but still it's improving. i'm horrible with self-discipline but i'm really trying.

Some people are born able to become addicted to certain substances easier than others. For some it's just harder to control how much they drink, smoke, etc. It seems like you may be one of these people. If you want full control, you may have to stop drinking, period. I don't know you personally, but it's this way with alcoholics, and if you don't fix this problem soon, you may become one. So, as mentioned above, either learn to control how much you drink or don't drink at all.

please, learn to know when to stop. my biggest worry as an alchohalic is drinking too much and meeting a guy who's looking to get in my pants whether i want to or not. if i'm buzzed, i can still have the sense to know to not leave or go into a room with a guy like that, but when your drunk, you never know. dont trust people so much in the party scene. its a scary thing.
