I don't know what i can do for him.. - November 10th 2009, 09:22 AM

He's 52. A stable job. Wife. Home. Finance. A functioning Alcholic.

He would drink, 1/2 a bottle of scotch everynight, just to feel the "happy" effect. 1/2 a bottle it took him to feel that, his tolerance was so strong. He'd been doing that for 3 years, everynight. He backed of at the start of this year, but i am worried because his reasoning is so superficial, so insignificant. The reason being, hes a teacher and he recently was put a teacher of a grade 12 physics class which requires him to be "on the ball".

I'm worried that one little change could see him drift back into his old habits.

I don't know how to help him or if he even had/has a problem.

What do you guys thnk?

i THINK he's been alright. I can only hope. I don't honestly know for sure. I dont know his usual drinking habits now. All I know is they were bad before. But its the end of the year and he has no work on the holidays and even when he does return to work he might not be teaching physics and that is the reason he stopped. the only reason. he says he feels as though he has a responsibility to the kids hes taching, but they graduate this year..
