Question about weed and testing.

Hey all so i smoke on a somewhat regular basis. Well im applying for jobs and kinda worried i may have to take a drug test. Is there anyway i can get a home drug test? If so where? I know weed can stay in your system on average 30 days but wanna get a test to make sure before i take one for a job.

Yeah, I know you can get at-home drug tests, I just don't know exactly where to get them. Them have them on Walgreens online, I don't know if you have a Walgreens around you but they tend to have things like that for some reason.

Remember though, these tests aren't as accurate as a employers drug test, I've had friends pass at home tests and fail it for a job. So be careful!

You can buy them but they have different sensitivities overall and they test using different modes, that is, blood, urine and hair samples. The latter reveals what you've been taking for months with an indication of how long you've been taking it and when you've stopped but these are very rough estimates. However, detection of the drugs at any time may be enough concern for the employers without knowing exactly when. The first two reveal what you've been taking for days-weeks. Home sample ones test only the basics, there are well-known ways to try to cover up what's in your system and home tests may be unable to detect these, however, lab ones easily detect these. In fact, they look for such cover-ups and if positive, it becomes very suspicious. Lab ones can run a basic screen testing common drugs with common cover-ups or a more in-depth one that takes longer to process but either way, they're more sensitive than your average home tests.

I'm not sure if employers would use a basic or detailed test, they'd have to pay for it either way so I think it'd depend on the actual job.

As for getting home test ones, I think you can get them online if you cant find a place in-person.

Moral of the story: if home tests don't detect the drug, it means you may be fucked. If it does detect the drug, it means you're definitely fucked.

If you're in the uk, there really aren't many jobs where they drug test you. If you're just applying for retail work in stores or fast food etc they most likely won't test you. The tests cost money so unless it's a requirement and there's a risk of someone getting hurt if they don't have a clear head or something, the company probably won't make you do one.

As long as your smoking doesn't affect your ability to work you should be fine. Just don't give them a reason to want to test you.

Apart from trying a Walgreens and the internet, try going to a head shop. I've most definitely seen them sold at those.
