I feel miserable sometimes - July 19th 2012, 11:01 PM

I dont know how to talk to people. Only person i can talk something is my best friend but lately he dont hang out with me anymore for some reason. I have nothing to talk about with other "friends". When my best friend is around i talk easily with them but when he isnt around its always awkward silence for both parts. I have no social life outside the school with people. Sometimes me and my best friend go play some ball or sth, but all the other time (95% of time i just go home and sit on computer).

I would like to have a girlfriend, girls like me but as soon as they have talked with me for about week (in school and online) they lose interest in me. Im not mean or anything. Since i have so much free time and nothing to do i started making money on internet and i make a good amount of it daily at the moment but i feel like its not making me happy. I want to hang out and do stuff. I havent talked to a girl for a whole summer. Also my old classmates who still say hi to me and talk a little never invite me to their birthday. Everyone i know always get invitations.

Hey there!

I'm so sorry that you're having a hard time talking to people. It can be super nerve racking, and sometimes it's hard to know what to say. I've been where you are, and it's not fun, but once you make the first couple steps, it gets a lot easier. When talking to new people, ask them what they like and share your interests as well, try to make jokes to make them laugh! Leave an impression on them, that you're a super cool person. You could also join new clubs at school, if you're not already, and do some volunteer projects at school! Ask people to work with you on class projects also, or invite them over to study.

Some things you can talk about are video games, current events, music, school and stuff like that. Don't stay glued to the same old people either, try to talk to someone new each day, make conversation and compliment them or something, best thing to do with girls Get to know them as friends, sometimes it might not work out, sometimes people can be jerks, just move on.

I hope this helped a little bit! Good luck and if you ever need anyone to talk to, feel free to message me!
