Best Friend is moving states T_T - November 13th 2012, 03:46 AM

This thread has been labeled as triggering, particularly on the subject of suicide, by the original poster or by a Moderator. The contents of this thread therefore might not be suitable for certain sensitive users. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

I Knew this was going to happen...but not this soon... My best (and only) friend is getting "forced" to move with his family to be with his dad. I know I should be happy for him, but this is so hard... We are both seniors and I thought he would be able to finish high school with me...but it looks like he is moving during winter break. I'm trying to be happy for him but i'm just falling into a really deep depression that I can't escape. I've been even thinking about ways to kill myself. I don't know what to do or how I should react to this.... I need some advice...please T_T

Hey I know it's hard to lose a best friend. Especially if it's your only friend. My best friend left me for my brother & now they're getting married!(weird, huh?) it's a very sad thing & make you feel so alone & betrayed, but you can't let this take over your life. Trust me, it's not worth killing yourself over. He isn't doing this to you on purpose, it's a part of life. Friends come & they go, as honest as that is. You have to stay strong through this & try to stay in contact with him. Let him know how much you cherish your friendship & always will, no matter where he is. I know what it's like to feel like nothing is going right & everyone is leaving you behind, but please sit down & think deeply about it. You will make more friends & I know the only thing you want right now is his friendship, but life isn't always going to be easy & we're going to have to say goodbye to some people we never want to let go of. Talk to him as much as you can, let him know how much you care & how much you hurt & I'm sure he'll be there for you. Stay strong

When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile.
