Moving back to mothers... - July 27th 2013, 04:08 PM

Hello all,
I very rarely post threads on here, and least of all threads which are of this type..

But here goes...
I am moving back to my mums tomorrow... I'm just about to be finishing university in a few days and don't have a job lined up, this is due to health issues and wanting to actually have finished, and know what degree classification I will be getting..

My mum lives in a little hamlet in the middle of nowhere and I know no one there, my closest 'friends' are 30mins away and until I can re-do my CBT (because I've still not got around to doing my full license for car or motorbike) I have no transport either... Blah... Not looking forward to this.. Having someone to say 'I'm off out/I'm staying out tonight' etc.. Thankfully mums dumped her jackass of an ex partner so I have a house key, else I'd be having to work around my mum and brothers schedules if I wanted to go out... Bleh

Any tips for moving back in with parents? lol

My spelling is terrible, so I'm sorry for any spelling mistakes in my posts

Sorry for the late reply. If you haven't moved in already I would say be considerate of your mum and clean up after yourself really, just be fair and do you part around the house. If you have moved in, hows it going?
At least you have a house key, which will give you more freedom to go out whenever you want. How are you?

I clean up after me, used to doing it anyway.. although mother dearest refused to let me clean my room etc, said there's no point cause she'll just go over it.. xD think my mum has OCD in terms of cleaning lol..

I've moved in, didn't get back till late ish so only unpacked clothes, got my TV which has nowhere to go in my box room, and other stuff to put away, but doing it in stages so its tidy..

I'm alright, tired xD been up all night.. was stressed about coming home, but so far so good.. missing my university city though

At least you don't have to clean it, saves you a job Oh ok, hope everything is ok at home then. Hopefully you'll sleep better from now on then as you won't be stressed about coming home... good to hear/see you alright though.

Well as I was always taught: You do what you have to do to get by. I really don't have any advice for moving back into your moms house besides making things work as best as you can. The main goal is clear: make your moms house a livable/healthy environment to be in (IE: no fighting, problems, etc), and begin to start a new chapter in your life (IE: apply for jobs that fit your degree, work on getting a car, etc). Keep your head up and keep pushing for the good things & a great future!

Best wishes,
Chris

Chris
I hope you know that you deserve it all. The best, the most honest, the most beautiful purest love in the world. Not only to be loved by others, but to be loved by yourself. To look in the mirror and think "Yes, I'm exactly who I want to be". To speak up and be proud of yourself. To be brave and open. You deserve the nicest and most caring people to walk into your life. You deserve it all, you know. The whole world...
