I just wish for happiness, that's all - January 19th 2016, 11:37 AM

Friends would always say I look happy, but tbh, I am depress inside with my family problems. I always try to look happy, but when I'm alone in bed, I always become depress and think alot, worrying about my parents because of my problematic brother.

For once, I just wanted a real family happiness. I would always get jealous of people when they have a good sibling relationship with their elder brother. How I wish I could have that too. How I wish I could have a protective brother that would protect his little sister. But, it seems too good to be true

I can relate to what you're saying. I also get jealous of people who have families that function more than mine. The truth is, though, a lot of families have similar issues and we're not alone. I'm not sure how old you two are, but sometimes things change when you get older. My brother and I have become close in our teen years and things weren't always like that. Maybe you can give it some time. If you feel like you need to be protected, maybe you can look to other relationships for that, such as the ones with your parents. I know it is hard but try not to compare yourself to other families. Each family has some issues that are unique to them and they aren't comparable. Maybe remind yourself that you will get what you want in your life but you have a different path to take than other people do. You will get happiness though.
