Need some advice on people please. - May 18th 2016, 09:29 PM

So I go to a homeschool program and I see people all the time and I play sports, do this and that, I see a lot of the same people at each place and yatta yatta. I know a lot people and I'm a likable person. I'm told all the time a bunch of positive things from people and I don't have any problems really with anyone. I don't hang out a lot with people I do see at my program and sports and stuff. I will occasionally and when I do I have fun and I make people laugh a lot I'm pretty sarcastic and everything. But, I don't have a group of friends or anything like that. I have like 300 different people's phone numbers and use like 4 of them outside of my family. 2 of those live hudreds of miles away too. Everyone knows I kinda keep to myself. I think people are sometimes afraid to talk to me too. I don't really think they know what to say. My dad died 2 years ago so when people find that out they kinda don't know what to say. Idk though. My question is, how do I text or call people more. I'm not really comfortable doing that yet because, I can ususally dictate a conversation in person but through text, nah. So what are good things to say to guys and girls in text? I know the generic stuff but a little more specific. My summer break started 2 weeks ago so I haven't seen some people since then also. Any advice would be great. Thank you
Also, I'm known as the mature almost cynical person at my program. I usually am the person who people go to if they really screwed up and need their problem to be fixed too. Not sure of that info makes a difference but that I'd put it anyway.

For me, i think it's important to be the same over text as you would in real life. Then people can get to know you both ways, without a massive difference in personality. I would say find a couple of people who you get on well with, and just strike up a simple conversation, ask them how they are, or ask them something a bit more specific if you do a particular activity with them. Being natural is the key, and don't try to be a different person over text.
Best of luck!
