How can I walk away from a friend - June 11th 2017, 09:48 PM

I'm in a situation where this friend doesn't care about me never speaks me. He does not Invite me out he has always been like this since he got his girlfriend. I have not seen him and his girlfriend since August. He did invite me out a few weeks back but I didn't go as I was busy but that was once in a blue moon. He never messages me he never gets in touch with me unless he wants something all he cares about is him self.
I could post on snap chat I'm feeling depressed and he wouldn't care.

How do I walk away from someone?

Hi Justin.
I guess the easiest way is to just ignore him completely because it sounds like he's not worth your time worrying about, you deserve so much better. If he rarely ever messages you it won't feel that different to just not be in contact with him at all, and if he does get in touch with you because he wants something, you are not obligated to help him and can just ignore his request.
I realize it's easier said than done though, and even if you aren't talking to someone it can be hard to get them off your mind, which I think comes easier with time. Try to find other people to spend time with and ways to distract yourself if you find that it's stressing you out.
Not sure if that helps at all, but I'm sorry that you are being treated this way because you are worth SO much more than that.
You got this!

I like the idea of just ignoring this person. It seems like he is occupied with other things, and given that he doesn't try to talk to you much ignoring him would probably help. Should he contact you, know that you don't need to respond right away, if at all. Over time he'll probably get the message or he'll think that you've both been busy.
