Last week it was my birthday and one of my siblings buys me a gift that only she will like. I tried this gift and I was very nice and said thank you for this gift, you can have it because I didn't like it and it's something you would like. Then told her it's really okay not having this gift, I am not upset. I gave her this gift and now she's being rude to me because it's not what I'm into, it's something that she loves. I don't understand family sometimes. Has this happened to anyone else?

Some people aren’t great gift givers for sure. You at least tried it which was nice of you. Sometimes if I know someone is going to be buying gifts I try to give them ideas on what to get me or ask for gift cards. It doesn’t sound like she put a lot of thought into this gift but it’s not your fault. I hope you enjoyed your birthday anyway!
