Any ideas? - July 20th 2009, 07:04 PM

I am very close to my grandparents, specifically my grandfather. Their anniversary (48th) is at the end of the month and I want to do something really special for them.

Any ideas?

Hi there,

Wow! Your grandparents have sure been together for a long time. They must be so happy to have a granddaughter like you =] Coming up with ideas can be tricky, but I'm sure they will be happy with whatever you do for them.

I find that gifts you put together or make yourself are always a good idea. Here are a few ideas:
-photo album/scrap book
-homemade video
-baking something
-cooking their favourite meal or a meal they would enjoy
-drawing or writing something
-'tickets' for helping out around their house, free hugs, etc.
-hosting a surprise party

You probably know your grandparents and what they would enjoy a lot better than I do! Try to think about what you are good at and could share with them, or places you could go with them. Maybe they have a favourite restaurant you could bring them to, or know of a place they could spend some time at together.

I wish the very best to you and your grandparents.

Nat.

The great artists of our time are the ones who created something timeless. But it was never them defining it that way.
