Hi Jodie,

I'm really sorry your mom is acting this way towards you and your boyfriend. Sometimes parents can be hostile when their kid starts dating or is dating someone they don't like. It sounds like she is being really unfair and should be more tolerant of your relationship with him.

I don't think it's right for your mom to force you to help by telling you to move out, but I do think it's fair for her to expect you to help around the house if you are living there. It could be that she is getting mad because she feels like she needs to ask you to help all the time without you just doing it on your own. Maybe you could try doing a few chores around the house for her when she doesn't ask to show that you are responsible.

As for her not believing you, maybe next time you do a chore, you could show her what you've done. She may not believe what you say, but if you show it to her, then it's kind of difficult for her not to believe what she sees for herself.

I think you should talk to your mom about this too. Find out if there is anything she is worried or stressed about in her life or about you dating your boyfriend. Try to clear things up with her and get to the root of the problem.

I hope things turn around for you.
Take care.
