I love my mom very much but she doesn't understand me at all. She found out I was gay and all she could say was 'why' and "what did i do wrong" she was (is) so ashamed of me. Then she found out I was cutting and started swearing at me, and telling me I was evil and dark and had no friends and was socially inept. She is incredibly malicious and underhanded and will make extremely inappropriate comments about me to other people when I am in the room. I don't feel like I can tell her anything because she reacts so badly to everything I say, and yells at me or tells me that I am abusive towards her and she didn't do anything to deserve someone like me. I just don't know what to do, I am tired of putting up with her.

Wow that's horrible! How the crap would the fact that your gay make anyone want to act like that?!?!?! I'm sorry, but your mother enrages me a bit. I feel for ya though hon. If my mom found out I was bi, she'd do the same thing. Feel free to PM me if you ever need to talk. <3

“I can only hope that they’ll turn that anger and frustration and madness into something positive, so that two, three, four, five hundred will step forward, so the gay doctors will come out, the gay lawyers, the gay judges, gay bankers, gay architects … I hope that every professional gay will say ‘enough’, come forward and tell everybody, wear a sign, let the world know. Maybe that will help.” Harvey Milk, 1978

thank you so much, I just feel as though it is almost as if she is abusive towards me not the other way around (even though I hate that word) and it sucks
