URGENT - November 3rd 2009, 08:40 PM

My mom and me got in to a fight, it was over something really silly but it got heated and well I ended up getting into a rage and I pushed her and like grabbed her are and stuff. I didn't mean to, not my intention to hurt her at all! She really got me riled up thought and I pushed her against a wall and it was the pushing her that hurt her, because I pushed really lightly, but she had injured it a few weeks before and touching it did something to the joint and she can't lift it. I feel so horrible and I just want to help her. Is there anything that could maybe help her so her arm feels better. She already took a hot shower and nothing. She has work tommorrow and she works in a nursing home where she lifts people. She has to go to work cause we need the money and the company is close to laying people off. She needs this job, and I'm frantic because I don't know what to do. Someone please help please.

Katie, ultimately your mother needs to see a doctor about this. She could have really messed something up in her arm and you need to see if you can arrange a doctor's visit for her.

yeah all she can do is get some medical advice on what to do. in the mean time, apologize to her and make sure she realises that you're sorry.

..and our dreams will break the boundaries of our fears..

Katie, I agree with what was said above. Definately get your mom to the doctor or atleast on the phone with the doctor. Then, they can tell you if it is serious enough to go to the doctor or just needs ice. I understand you feel terrible as anyone in that situation would. You are doing the right thing by helping her now though. Let me know how it goes!

Whatever it is, chances are I've been there.
If I can make it out, you can too.

You need to get your mother to a doctor. Something could be seriously wrong. Good luck.

I guess we are who we are for a lot of reasons.
And maybe we’ll never know most of them.
But even if we don’t have the power to choose where we come from,
we can still choose where we go from there.
We can still do things. And we can try to feel okay about them.

agreed on visiting a doctor, but till then she could use some ice on her arm. it really helps with the pain, just be careful, don't let the ice itself to be in direct contact with her skin. use some old clothes, put the ice in that, and put that to her arm. hope she gets better soon
