Unhappy My family is so mess up. - May 25th 2010, 04:34 AM

This thread has been labeled as triggering, particularly on the subject of death or grieving, by the original poster or by a Moderator. The contents of this thread might therefore not be suitable for certain sensitive users. Please take this into consideration before continuing to read.

My mom's always babbling about how her father was never there for her, and she won't miss him when he dies, and how he (pretty much) killed my grandma, and everyone wants their stuff. (it's mostly my mom who's causing me grief.), she's always babbling about stuff i don't want to know about, and she's always talking ALL THE DAMN TIME.
My father was never there for me either, so i won't miss him when he left for across America, my aunts/uncles/siblings/others are scary and messed up.
Everyone's so damn greedy, they're always fighting, they have such big tempers, and i'm scared of them.
I don't know what it's like to have a family, they're always so disfuncional, no one's close to each other.

I'm always trying to smile and listen to everyone, but it's getting harder and harder to smile anymore.

EDIT: My sister just came over. Her and my mom just had a shouting match, and my mom had to call the police. My name was getting mentioned in there a bit, so i marched out there and told them that i wasn't in the middle, and i wasn't planning on it.
So the police came and she finally left. but then my mom was sobbing in her room for half an hour. So i was with her.

I am truly sorry to hear about what you're going through right now. =( You shouldn't have to be surrounded by so much negativity.

I don't know when you'll legally be able to move out of the house, because I'm not familiar with other country's laws... but my suggestion is to start planning for that wonderful day, when you'll be able to pack up and GET OUT! Don't stay there for a second longer than is necessary!

Have you considered telling a trusted adult about what's going on? Perhaps at your school, on a sports team, at a club/organization you're a part of, etc.? They may be able to offer you some support, whether it be emotional, financial, or even legal. Again, I don't know what the laws are like in your country... but in the United States, we have Child Protective Services (CPS). If you can provide evidence that you're being abused or neglected, they may be able to get you out of the house and into foster care (or under the custody of another family member - one who may not be as troublesome as your mother).

I wish you all the best. Take care. <3
