Dysfunctional Family - May 31st 2010, 08:34 PM

I have not told anyone about this for many reasons. The main one being that I didnt know it was something abnormal. The constant yelling and insults were terrible, but kind of tolerable. Most of my time I spent away from them all, watching TV, playing on the computer or reading a book.I just stayed out of sight, I still do that. But its getting harder and harder to do so. I know i have to do something about it and i want to, but i'm scared. I hate myself for that. My greatest fear though isn't that they will do something to me, or that they will harm me. My greatest fear is that one day i might become like them. I have no friends at all. The lonelyness is really getting to me. I need a voice of reason.

I had the same when I was 16. Shutting myself away from all the anger and shouting. I understand your fears....
Your family, they love you, unconditionally, but they may not feel that way about each other. Which affects you. If they do harm you, you need to tell someone. But Im sure they wont harm you.
Try not to think about turning into them, because chances are, you wont. Youve had a hard time, you wont want to be like that when you are older.
If you want to make friends, why not try a school activity or club....that will help you make friends,

I really help things go ok
