Summer. - June 28th 2010, 03:38 AM

I'm not sure if this is the right place to place this post. So feel free to move it. :P

All my friends are leaving this summer, so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what to do to get out of the house. Due to my mom's lack of having a job, I wanted to join some FREE groups. I was thinking of joining youth group, but according to my mother, even THAT'S not free. .

I like yoga, dance, softball, volleyball..anything, really. I live in the DC area, and I need something to keep me occupied all summer. Any ideas?

Have you tried Google? With a little online searching, or even pulling out a phonebook and calling around, you might be able to find some local events or local groups that are either free or affordable and within your budget.

I second the suggestions listed above. =) You could also give volunteering a shot... that's definitely free, and quite rewarding. =D
