Need help - July 2nd 2010, 04:44 AM

So tomorrow a friend of mine is coming over. She is probably the friend that I'm closest to and I invited her over because I want to talk. I want to open to her, as much as I can. She does know a few things, like how I used to be depressed a lot, but I want to be able to tell her more. Like how I'm afraid of taking risks, how I used to sometimes be jealous of her, how I felt in junior high when she ditched me for about a year, etc. But also how I appreciate her being my friend for all this time and things like that.
The problem is that I'm super nervous about it. I don't know how to start, I don't when I should start talking about it, I know right before I do it I'm going to try to talk myself out of it. Yeah I'm just really scared.
Please help

There isn't really anything I can suggest, other than doing it whenever the time feels right (ex. don't tell yourself "I'll do it after lunch" or "I'll do it one hour before she leaves"). Take a few deep breaths, and remind yourself that she won't think any less of you afterward. =)

I know it will probably go over alright. My big issue is that I'm nervous about how I'm going to start talking about it.

How about writing a letter, either write so you can read it to her or just give it to her when she leaves and ask her to call you when she's read it? Something like that. If not that then all i can suggest, as someone else said is to just do it when the time feels right, maybe start a conversation about the riskiest thing both of you have done and go from there? I hope i helped, good luck!
