Being replaced - November 27th 2010, 02:54 AM

So my friend group has recently gotten some new members. Problem is me and two other people seem to be getting replaced by them. We never get invited to anything anymore and everyone loves the two new girls. Has this ever happened to anyone else? What did you do?

It's happened to me before. I didn't really do anything about it but I drifted to some one of my other friendship groups since in my school I was sort of an odd one out and jumped between groups for most of the year.

Why don't you and these other two girls just hang out? I'm sure you guys could have fun

Oooor, you could get to know the new girls and start inviting them out with you and see if they return the favour when they plan things with the others?

Take care

Hey, I'm sorry that you're being replaced. I personally know what it feels like to be one of the ones getting replaced in a group of friends. Hopefully this will help you out some. :]

Well, there's the two options that Elfy mentioned which I think are very good ones to consider! Maybe you could start hanging out with the other two girls who are getting replaced and maybe have your own little group. You know that you would all three have at least one thing in common since you're all three getting replaced. Having things in common will make a friendship between the three of you more likely. And since they were in your group before the replacing started, why not? Then there's the second option that Elfy mentioned and that is to get to know the new girls and invite them to things like parties and stuff like that so that they just might return the favor.

Then there's the third option that I've thought of. You say you were in a group of friends. Does this group have a 'leader'? If so, maybe you could try talking to the 'leader' of the group and politely ask why you and the other two girls aren't included anymore. Maybe you could convince the leader to let you all back in and keep the new girls at the same time, you know, just make it a bigger group. If your group doesn't have a certain 'leader' then you and the other two girls could join together and ask the group as a whole why you and the other girls aren't included. This may or may not work. It really depends on the kind of people in your group and how the other girls feel about standing up for themselves. However it's worth giving it a shot.

I hope this helped and I hope that your problems are resolved soon!

xApril.
