She wont let me stop going to therapy -
January 13th 2011, 01:39 AM
So I started therapy about a month ago and its just not for me. I have so much school work that I don't have time to go and I don't feel comfortable telling my therapist anything. Each week my therapist tells me its my choice to come back or not.
I keep telling my mom I don't want to go and she went and called my therapist and made a huge deal about it and now we both are going to talk to my therapist tomorrow. Seriously how can I get my mum to understand that its not helping me and I don't want to go? I've tried everything and I'm really thinking about just taking off tomorrow before she gets back form work to take me there. ![]() Buddy|Live Help Operator|HelpLink Mentor|Social Networking Team Relationships&Dating Mod|Lifestyle Mod|Media&Entertainment Mod Performance Committee |

Tomorrow (today), when you both go talk to your therapist is an excellent time to just directly tell her how you feel. From what I gather about your therapist (and about therapists in general), s/he would want to do whatever's best for you, which, in this case, would be agreeing with you.
I'm going to reserve my opinion on whether you should keep getting therapy or not, because I don't have nearly enough details. But if your therapist thinks that you'll be fine without him/her, you most likely will.
"Want to know a secret?
You are beautiful. Black, white, gay, straight, bisexual. Whether you are smart or quiet or impossibly in love with your best friend, someone out there cherishes your smile and gets butterflies when you walk into a room. Someone out there can't stop thinking about you. You Are Beautiful. Don't ever believe differently." If you ever want someone to talk to, about absolutely anything, feel free to inbox me! ![]() |
