Cool Sister Wars - February 21st 2011, 06:33 AM

I did something bad..

i pretty much banned my sister from the house.
it's very complicated but long story short, she pushed me throughout 7 months with a variety of stupid events

one day i couldn't take it and i picked a fight with her (about her petafile boyfriend hitting on my friends)

today i saw her and she ran as soon as she saw me (she's older) i've been feeling vengeful

i'd try talking to her to patch things up but what's the use... she'd just mess up again..

and all she does is ever hurt me and my parents..

to be honest, i'm not sure i wouldn't be able to unemotionally hurt her
i've been pushe to the edge with her.

I'm sorry that things with your sister are rough right now! It seems as though you have reached your breaking point with your sister. A point where you just can't take it anymore. All sisters fight. Truly, it's natural. It sounds like you needed space from her, and now you're getting it. She might take this as an eye opener, and make better choices for herself. She might come back and be a better person. People can change from their old ways. And she might just do that. It's almost like you did a favor for her in a way.

If she hurts you, and your parents, then you had every right to ban her from the house. Hurting family members is unacceptable, and shouldn't be tolerated. She is older, so she should be showing more maturity. This might just be that door who leads her to ultimate maturity. Although, you can't be too entirely sure. But you can hope. I think that you need to keep a firm hand on this. Don't allow her into the house unless she shows a significant change. if you let her back in before, she is going to think that her actions are ok, and she can keep doing them because you're just going to keep letting her come back anyways. It's like a kid in that sense.

Just give it time. Let everyone cool off. Let her learn her lesson. That's most important here. :]

Take care,
