Im Losing Them - January 9th 2009, 07:42 PM

The disorder Im supposed to have makes me find it very difficult with relationships. I'm so particular about certain things; like timing.. if a friend or anyone who is meeting me is like 5 mins late Im convinced its the end of our friendship because they obviously dnt like me. I can be really argumentative.. And then spend the other half of the year ignoring everyone because I'm feeling so low. I hate the way I am with people but I dont seem to be able to help it.. I'm driving my friends away with my insane ways and paranoid ways of thinking. I cant see why my friends stand by me though i must drive them nuts, but it cant last for long. Help me before i lose everyone i care about

You wont try for me, not now,
Though I'd die to know you love me,

I'm all alone,

Isn't something missing?
Isnt someone missing me [x]

Baby, i want you to be my superman.

You should just trust that they still care about you even with your flaws. It's hard and the situations always vary, but friendship's not worth much if you can't trust each other. You might think you drive them nuts, but the fact that you think you annoy them is prove enough that you care about them. I know it's not really helpful saying this, but if they can't notice your feelings they're not worth your time. Loneliness is better than friendship based on rubbish.

Recently, I discovered that nobody has to be a self-fulfilling prophecy. If they are experiencing things that expose traits about themselves that they do not like, they have the power to change that.
It takes little steps; I think the first thing you might need to do would be to work on self-esteem. I'm guessing this based on what you said about thinking your friends don't like you if they're late. They love you very much; they are your friends for a reason. They stick by you through the good and the bad and they always will.
If you find that you're argumentative, take some time to think about the things you say. If something bad happens that isn't orderly and causes some stress, tell yourself that the world keeps turning. It's not worth getting upset about the things you can't change, so you might as well be calm and relaxed. It's the best way to tackle the tough parts of life. Everything has a way of falling into place quite nicely.
I hope this can be of some help to you. All of these things are easier said than done, but if you believe that you could feel better about life and yourself through these changes, they're worth doing.

Yeah.Ok, thanks.. I'm working on not taking things so personally to start with.. like you say not everything can be my fault. It's just hard.. Not that I expected it any other way.. I'm working on it. Thanks again x
