Tired of being sorry. -

There's this girl in my school. We used to be great friends, like, best friends. But one day she was upset so I asked her what's wrong? She got agitated and told me that i had no right to interfere. i was taken aback but i though of our friendship and apologized profusely, but to no avail. she was firm- she wanted me out of her life. after 2 months when i managed to get over it, she came to me and was like, "you just don't care about me, do you?!"
what the hell! i apologized for months! now what does she want me to do?? worship her??  PS, i just wanted someone to know this so i started the thread. she's not actually bullying me but still...her behavior hurts. any suggestion is welcome. thanks! |

I would let her go. That was her decision in the first place. Don't let her bother you.

but we both have lots of common friends so i have to face her every now and then. and she looks at me accusingly like it's all my fault..!

Hey,
Unfortunately, sometimes friends change. That change can be for the worse. You have obviously tried your best with her and I think it's time for you to move on and find some new friends if this is how she is going to treat you. I'd suggest standing up to her, tell her that she has been treating you nastily and that you do not like it. I'd also suggest talking to your other friends alone too; maybe she's treating them the same way she is treating you? Your best bet is finding new friends and talking to your current friends about the situation when she is not around. (I don't mean being bitchy about her, just a polite conversation about what she has been acting like towards you.) Take care, I hope you get things sorted.

I agree. We also have to think about what is going through her head - maybe shes confused and is facing problems at home or at school. Often we end up getting upset at friends because we cant communicate that we are hurting or we need help - so she may be going this. That still, does not take away the responsibly of her actions and words - So as the other user said, tell her how you feel and communicate with her. If after that she has not changed her attitude then its time to stand up - and move on from a old friend that doesn't deserve your time anymore.
