I hate my parents.

I'm sitting here crying out of frustration because of them.

My dad doesn't want to deal with me unless I give him things to brag to his co-workers about. I'm pretty sure I'm not his daughter unless he can brag about me. If something is wrong (I've told him nearly straight-out I'm depressed) he doesn't care, and will ignore it.

My mum is nearly the same way. She doesn't want to care for me unless I'm bending to her every will. She just wants to smoke and drink her ass off, which I personally don't like being around!! She'll call me a faker, say I'm too selfish for suicide, and that she gives up on me.

I just hate life so effing much. I'm anorexic and neither of them care, they just don't want to hear about it. I'm in a new school and feel extreme pressure on my appearance, so of course I NEED hair cut (currently sporting over-grown bangs, over-grown layers and split/dead ends) and their like "you look fine, quit being such a spoiled brat, you don't need one. You just want a trim anyway" Um.. no I need my bangs re-cut, a trim, and layers.

I'm so sorry they can't spend their money on me because they are too busy buying beer and ciggarettes.

Judging by your post, this is definite bad parenting. I believe that this can be considered a form of neglect, as they are refusing to give you needed treatment and emotional support. Have you talked to anyone such as a school counselor or the Department of Children and Families about this?

I'm sorry to hear about this. Believe it or not you are not alone! The teen years and young adult years suck - and especially when you don't have supportive parents. I cant say that I know what you are going through, but I can relate to some extent with he drinking and smoking.

I'm not sure how old you are, but maybe its best you can find a small part time job after school. It will bring in alittle extra cash so that you can spend it how you please, and it will also get you out of the house more often (which is what I think you really need to do at this point). If not a job, maybe volunteer somewhere, or join a club. I'm just recommending these things because I think in your situation its best you create alittle space between you and your parents bad habits and indecent / non-supportive behavior.
