Filling my pantries?? Coupons?? - March 25th 2014, 03:23 AM

So, this is a bit awkward... But... I don't know how to fill my pantries. Growing up my mom didn't really cook and my dad worked a lot so we ate out a lot. As a result I have no idea how to fill my pantries with food. Can anyone help me with this?

Also, anyone know how to coupon and any good coupon sites?

Hello there,

First it's knowing what you like to eat, if you like pasta, beans, canned food, cereals, etc., then you can start there. Dried food goes in a pantry. Here are some you can put in your pantry and fridge.

  • Canned foods (veggies, meats, sauces)
  • Peanut Butter
  • Pasta
  • Rice
  • Canned or dry beans
  • Soup
  • Spices (pepper, salt, etc.)
  • Crackers/cookies/chips
  1. Also, any canned food can be put in the pantry however, once you open the can you need to put the stuff from the can in a container into the fridge.
  2. Some foods/drinks you don't have to put in your fridge so reading labels also helps you to know how to store packaged food.

  • Fresh Veggies
  • Cheese
  • Some fruits
  • Meats
  • Milk/Almond Milk/Rice Milk/Soy Milk
  • Opened sauces that are in bottles
  • Leftovers

I hope this is helpful, let me know if you need any more help or have questions.

Take Care.

A grocery store in my area has a "perks" website. You can log in and clip e-coupons and when you're at the store you log in through their system and the coupons are automatically added to your bill. You could always try looking up grocery stores in your area. When you're at the store look for any fliers they may have, sometimes there are coupons/deals you can find. Also check in your Sunday/everyday paper for coupons!

I've been through hell and back and came out stronger than ever.

Its not a bad idea to use coupons for extra savings. You can try http://www.couponwind.com they have some food coupons listed at their website. Not a big website but there are some good deals that you may like.

Hope this Helps. ...
