Energy drinks - January 29th 2015, 01:41 PM

What's your favourite? I know they aren't great for you but Mountain Dew is the only thing that wakes me up >.> Other energy drinks make me feel a bit queazy (Red Bull and stuff)

Mountain Dew is good (REAL Mountain Dew, not that shitty energy stuff), I love the Code Red one. No Fear is my favourite but when the price of that goes up I tend to drink Lemon Ice Relentless. They don't wake me up or anything, I just like the taste.

I was at work earlier and some dude was sayin his girlfriend had a red bull a day and it destroyed her stomach lining, sending her to the hospital. Hate to be that guy to interrupt a conversation for something like this, but hey, thats what I heard.

I do really enjoy most flavours of Mountain Dew. Code Red is good. I don't really like Redbull or Rockstar though. Even though I'm not supposed to have caffeine anyway.

I can tolerate any of the energy drinks out on the market in this day and age. The only ones I haven't tried are the starbucks energy ones.

I am not a huge fan of energy drinks because I hate coffee and drinks that fizz. I sometimes will drink a Monster but only if I make it flat. However, if I'm tired and I have to stay awake? I will have a glass of tea and caffeine pills. I know it's bad for me so I don't do it often.

If I need waking up I mostly just stick with coffee

Rockstar Blue Raspberry or the Guava one are my favourite energy drinks though

I've just realised that apart from coffee the only other 'energy' drink I have tried is Lucozade

Re: Energy drinks - January 30th 2015, 05:20 PM

I mostly just stick to coffee, but when I do drink energy drinks, I usually stick to this one called Nawgan which have less sugar, or the Vitamin Water ones. The sugar crashes really get to me-I even drink my coffee black for the same reason.

On a random note, I typically don't hear Mountain Dew referred to as an energy drink. I always just considered it a soda, but knew it had more caffeine than some. I think it might be locational; I think that what we call "Amp" where I'm from (a brand of energy drink sold by Mountain Dew) is just sold under Mountain Dew in other places, but I'm not sure.

I've only ever really had Monster. I don't care for the taste much and it doesn't really give me energy but I still drink it sometimes. I want to try others though. Red Bull isn't too terrible.

I usually stick to coffee if I need to stay awake. Among energy drinks Red Bull is my favorite, I guess. Though if that isn't available I don't mind any other!
