High Protein foods - October 8th 2017, 07:45 PM

Hey guys,

I posted a thread already, but I think I closed it before it actually posted

I was recently put on a diet by my friend, and one of the items is high protein. I don't eat much meat (only on Christmas really), so I don't eat much protein.

Is there any foods out there that have a high Protein content, yet a low calorie amount?

Don't forget no numbers, just leave the food item and then I will look them up

I know snacks with a lot of protein in them, because I eat them before I go to dance class.

String cheese, or any kind of cheese.
Ham or turkey rolls.
Any kind of nuts, almonds, peanuts ,walnuts, cashews ect.

I hope this helps. Hugs

As someone who has never ate meat, there are lots of high protein foods. You don’t need to eat meat in order to get your protein. These are some of what I eat:
Tofu
Spirulina (In smoothies)
Pistachios
Chick peas
Peanut butter
Nutrional yeast
Lentils
Hummus (you can dip veggies in it or use it in wraps or a bunch of way)
Quinoa, Amaranth
Black, navy, soy or Lima beans
Hemp seeds, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds
Oatmeal
Seitan or tempah
Artichokes, broccoli, spinach, asparagus
You can also check out Banza pasta which packs a lot of protein in it and it’s gluten free! There are different varieties and it’s pretty good.

If you’re eat8ng dairy or eggs:
Eggs
Feta
Parmesan
Ricotta chesse
Cottage cheese
Youghurt

Hope this helps. Let me know if you want any recipes.
Milk

Peanut butter, eggs and dairy, if you eat those.

Absolute 11/10 in terms of nutrition and taste. Pretty flexible as well.

The risk I took was calculated, but boy, am I bad at math.
