Vegan Recipies Anyone?

I have a meat eater family and im going vegan. Know of any good vegan recipies that appeal to meat eaters? Thanks!

Becca, going Vegan is quite difficult, but it's definitely worth it. First, you'll have to make sure your family is willing to support you through it. Like, for example, alternatives to milk to get certain vitamins, other food sources for various vitamins, etc.

Anyways, to answer your question, we had a thread on here I started before, where some users posted Vegetarian and Vegan recipes, Click Here!. Also, think about what meals your family likes, and try to do a Vegan substitute.

For example, my boyfriend is an Omnivore (aka Meat-Eater), and yet, he really enjoyed the Vegan Spaghetti Bolognese I made for him, using Yves Veggie Ground Beef and Yves Veggie Meatballs. I also made a Vegan Fettucine Alfredo for my family, which they enjoyed. I've also made Vegan "Cheese" Ravioli, Vegan Sugar Cookies, Vegan Spinach and Artichoke Dip, and many other things, which Omnivores have really enjoyed. :)

So, I'd suggest if you don't know how to use substitutes for Veganizing common meals, look online. This website is one of my favorites, and a lot of the recipes are pretty simple, yet yummy. :)

No problem! I went Vegan myself, over 2 months ago, seeing as I'm Meat and Dairy Intolerant, and well, never much cared for meat anyways. So, it's been tough, but when you figure out what substitutes well, what vitamins you need, different flavours, etc., its definitely worth the hassle! :) If you're a cheese person, Nutritional Yeast will become your best friend (and a great source of Vitamin B12!). And don't automatically steer away from Tofu-Based recipes, since Tofu is GREAT when done right! :D

I'm in the process of going vegan, if you go to google and search for vegan recipes, you'll find a bunch of results :) I go on this site a lot, because it has a variety of recipes: http://vegweb.com/
But there are a lot of great ones out there :)

Yes, Google'ing for something particular can yield results, and reviews. In fact, I Google'd "Easy Vegan Fudge", got a quick and easy recipe, its settling in the fridge right now. :)
