Decided To Be Vegetarian :) - August 21st 2011, 03:36 AM

Recently I've decided to be a vegetarian not that I just can't stand meat at all but just to improve my diet. Since I changed my diet, I've noticed that on most packages it says gluten free so that's good!
It's been roughly a month or so since I've made the change and everything has been perfectly fine. My mom was actually a vegetarian/vegan for 6 years and that really surprised me but her advice helps a lot
But what most people don't understand when I say I'm semi-vegetarian (it's basically easier and shorter to say I'm vegetarian) because I'll eat fish, no problem, and occasionally eat one meal with meat in it, but not like everyday or every other day, but like once or twice a month. I know eating meat doesn't make me fully vegetarian which is why I consider myself semi.
But anyway, if you guys have any advice for me, please share as well as any recipes would be helpful.
Thanks Guys!

Actually, if you still eat fish that would make you a pescitarian
Tofu is a good substitute for meat and it has lots of protein. Nuts, soy, milk, cheese, eggs, and beans also have protein.
I love being a vegetarian, I've been eating a wider variety of foods since I've switched and I tend to eat a lot healthier too.

Just make sure you stay healthy. People can live really great lives without meat. But because from what it seems, you have always eaten meat and making a change like that can mess things up in your body for some people so just keep an eye out for anything that doesn't feel right in the next couple of months.

Always remember to put your happiness first.

Tofu tastes better than it looks
Just make sure to eat it with something and not alone. It sort of takes in the flavor and is a great substitute for meat
