Smile Birthday Foods - August 27th 2011, 07:33 PM

Hello Everyone!

My birthday is coming up soon, and I'm planning on having a table with various foods and such.
So I was wondering if anyone had any good recipes I could use. I've read that finger foods are really the best, but I'll take anything.
And even if you don't have the actual recipe, the ideas would be great, I can always just look them up myself.

Please and thank you!

Hmm... I had a Hawaiian themed birthday for my 16th years ago. So we had pulled pork and BBQ pulled pork. Everyone just at it as was, but you can also buy those Hawaiian rolls that are in the same aisles as the bread. Those taste wonderful with sandwiches. Or...bread :P

It's not too messy, you can get it from a deli shop for cheap or make it yourself, and you can have BBQ or non-BBQ. Fruit salad is good too, but you would need some silverware.

You could also do just finger sandwiches (meat, cheese, bread).
Meatballs on sticks.
Crackers and cheese/ham (so a cheese platter more or less)
Fruit and/or vegetable platters are WONDERFUL finger foods (fruit or vegetables with some dip in the middle, usually ranch).
Pigs in a blanket (hot dogs wrapped in dough, normally biscuits)

http://www.ehow.com/way_5287160_part...ter-ideas.html Here is a wonderful ideas list, as well as how to organize it and such.

So you have gray hair and you're only 26

that's just another reason I love you...

Small sandwiches ( in Florida you can buy "rainbow bread" & that's always fun for a party! It's like well bread with colors like a rainbow!
Pizza or Scachatta * sorry I didn't spell it right!* is a good party food!
It also depends on the theme of your party...
If it's like a "under the sea" theme go with nautical foods or if it's like a "dog theme" foods the shape of a paw print etc. are always good!
Just go with the theme!!!
OR! You can go the easy way & order platters of food... ( meats, fruits, & desserts)
I hope you have an amazing party & birthday!!!

Chips are always a party staple.

to the right, to the right
up a little, see the star?
we're gonna make it that far,
baby this is just the start.
i mean this is the best part,
where we find out who we are,
where we lend a helping hand,
a pair of lungs, and a heart.
let's make photographic memories
where everything's a blur,
i mean every scene we see
is in polaroid picture colours.
write our feelings and emotions on the back
of our minds
["you and i - oddly, he was hers, thank God
she was mine"]

Cracker cake

It's basically an ice cream cake (chocolate, usually) layered with graham crackers and then frozen for a day or two. It's absolutely incredible.

Oh yes, jigglers (really sturdy jello in squares - easy to hold)

Maybe lasanga or enchilada cassarole? You can make a couple pans of it ahead of time.

Orrr, a taco bar!!!

Thanks everyone!
Its amazing how some of the most common foods (like chips and cupcakes) can completely slip your mind when you're trying to plan something. I'll definately try these out!

Hugs!

Sorry for the late reply mini party pies, mini spring rolls, mini fish fingers, mini sausage rolls, chicken nuggets, bowls of lollies, cupcakes. Anything that you don't need plates and cutlery for, any type of foods you can eat with your hands.
