Unhappy I feel like it's my fault.. - August 19th 2014, 01:21 AM

My mom suffered from leukemia for 4 years, and about a year ago she had a transplant. Well, she gave up April and the cancer came back and took her May 1st. I feel like it's my fault she's gone, like there was something else I could have done to save her.. I miss her so much. It's not the same without her. I'm depressed all the time again, I never want to do anything but sleep. I just don't know what to do without her.

Hey Kayla,

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I don't know much about leukemia, but what I do know is that your mother's passing is definitely not your fault. It sounds like you love her a lot, and I bet she loved you a lot as well, and that she wouldn't want you to blame yourself for something that was not your fault.

I understand that you feel that you can't live without her, but you need to let yourself go back to your normal life. Being sad and blaming yourself will not bring her back, and your mom would want you to make the most of your life.

I hope this helped at least a bit

Just remember that all of us on TeenHelp are here for you and if you would like to talk, feel free to message me!

Kayla, I am so sorry to hear about your mother.
You need to know that its not your fault, and you did everything you could do to help your mother.

Things will be okay again, remember the good times, don't blame yourself.

kayla it is not your fault that your mom has passed it is no ones fault it was her time think about the fact that she will no longer be in pain she will no longer suffer she is happy now she is watching over you soo make her proud and carry on it will be the toughist thing you ever do but in time it will get easier and soon enough you will find your self being happier yes she will always be on your mind but she loved you and only think about the positive times you had with her keep strong
