Grandma - November 2nd 2010, 12:30 AM

My grandma passed away on Thursday, and I guess that explains my absence for the past week. It's hard losing her, it's hard losing such a great women. Everyone in Marion loves her, people we didn't know, we've never even heard of, came to her funeral telling us how much they loved her. The family was the only ones with dry eyes. We miss her so much, but she's with grandpa, two of her sons, and God.

"Here's to you, and here's to me, hope we never disagree, but if we do to hell with you, and here's to me!"

i lost mine a few years ago too. one mistake i made was that i let go of all the memories of her that i had. dont do what i did, keep those memories close to your heart. you dont know how easily they can slip away.

Hey there,

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Don't worry about not being here for the last week that is understandable. You need to spend some time looking after yourself but remember we are always here when you need some support or just a chat.

Right now you must be feeling all sorts of emotions and the best thing to do is try to let out how you are feeling and talking to people around you who also knew your grandma. Don't bottle it all up because that will only make you feel worse. Lean on those close to you through this tough time. She obviously was loved by many people as you saw by the funeral. Of course you are going to miss her loads. But when you are sad try to hold those good memories close to you and remember these.

I think right now the best thing to do is take each day at a time then things might be more managable. I am always here if you want to chat Stay strong
