Lats night a friend died... -
December 10th 2010, 06:06 AM
I found out a friend shot himself last night. He was found by his family in their backyard.
I am grieving a bit. I knew him because his brother and I were sort of together for a few months. But there are more people who knew him better than I and are grieving more than me and I want to help them. Two of my friends are really grieving. One of them had a crush on him. She's wishing she could go back in time right now. Any ideas to help my friends? Never Give Up On Your Dreams No Matter How Hard Or Big They May Seem..... Someday you will reach them...

I'm sorry that happened. I would say just try your best to be there for them and to listen when they need to talk.

I'm really sorry to hear that about your friend. It can be hard.
As Alix said, just by listening and giving your friends advice, you will be able to help them. Encourage them to speak to a professional such as a Councillor or Therapist as talking to someone is a really good way of letting the stress and grief of their chest as well as yours. I am sorry this happens. Sometimes the BEST thing you can do is BE THERE. You do not even have to start talking to them about it, but rather just let them know you are willing to listen when THEY are ready to talk.
