My Uncle Died Yesterday. - January 18th 2012, 08:19 PM

We saw it coming . . . He had cancer. It's the first time I've lost someone this close to me. I just can't except that he's gone, and I can't believe I'll never see him again! I have so many conflicting emotions- at least he's no longer in pain, but he didn't want to leave us. Does anyone have any advice for me and my family as we deal with this loss? Thank you.

You're beautiful.
Wonderful.
Smart.

And absolutely amazing.
Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

They just wish they could be more like you.

Hey,

1st off I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I know how hard it is to loose some1 so close to you. Just know that now he is in a better place, free of the pain he was suffering and is watching over you. Each person takes their own time to get through loosing someone. Don't push yourself in trying to move on. Try to remember all the good times you had with him, cherish those memories. I hope I have helped at least at little here.

Hey,

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. Unfortunately we all lose those we love. I have found an online article that I would read. Its a 7 page long article, but it talks about losing someone, and how it takes a toll on us, and how we eventually move on -
http://kidshealth.org/teen/your_mind...eone_died.html

I would strongly recommend reading it - and I just wanted to say that I'm here if you need someone to talk too.

I wish you and your family the best.

Hey I am so sorry for your loss. I lost one of my uncles a few years ago it was very sudden he had a heart attack. It was the first time I had lost anyone close to me and we were VERY close. I remember how it feels and even now 4 years later I miss him like crazy but I can tell you that it will get less sad over time. I am not sure there is really any good advice I can give you on this because it will be hard for a while and I know it and everyone deals with this in their own way. But allow yourself time to grieve or it will come back and hit you worse later on.

Its very hard right now but trust me you will get stronger as time passes. He will always be with you, watching over you. It's cliche but its true. Death is a part of life, we all have to face it and unfortunately it happens to the people we care about the most at eactly the wrong time. Im sure he is proud of you for being so strong. He wouldnt want you to suffer, he would want you to be the best you can be, and live knowing he is in a better place. Its not easy right now, but just try and keep your head up, smile and let yourself know things will get better

Hey there.
Have you and your family talked about the loss? Talking, I find, can be very helpful for families. The funeral can also be a good form of closure. Looking at pictures is also something people fine helpful.
Just because his body is dead does not mean that he is not with you You will always hold him in your heart.

The people we love are never really gone. I believe that after death we become more alive. There's more freedom. And your uncle will always love you and always be there watching. It may sound silly but it may be a good idea to talk to him out loud once and a while. I can guarantee you he is listening even though you cant hear him.

flower
hello my heart where have you been
I missed you when you left
you ran away with that senseless boy
and left me dim and dry
like a faded flower in the mist

Come back my heart. you have a home here
In this place that is my soul
I want to feel like whole again. don't waste your time with him

Have faith my heart. You'll get a second chance
come back to me and you will not be alone
