Not really literature, but what the heck.

I'm curious as to what everyone's favourite magazines are, and why?

I really like The Atlantic because the writing is really good, and it usually covers a lot of interesting topics from sports, the economy, politics, culture, etc.

Kerrang! magazine, NEO, and retro gamer. I only buy them when they cover something I'm interested in - a favourite band, anime or game respectively.

Re: Magazines - April 27th 2012, 01:13 PM

I'd probably go with Company. It's usually full of make-up adverts and fashion which doesn't really interest me but they do have some good articles and stories in that make it worth reading and occasionally, I'll spot something nice in the fashion pages.

I use to buy Front magazine as well but I never really bothered to read it, I only really flicked through it and I didn't see the point in wasting 4 on a magazine I couldn't be bothered to read.

I use to buy all the pop magazines, and now I've stoped because well... I don't know half of the stars and the ones I do I'm not really fans of.

Mad Magazine!- I know it's a comic book magazine, but I'm a HUGE fan. I just love all the stuff that they have and all.

I've said it once, I've said it twice, I've said it a thousand fucking times

I don't really like magazines. The only one I skim through at the store is the TV Guide.

Women's Health (Australian Edition) - I'm secretly an exercise nut with a healthy dose of food nut, although if you ever met me, you'd seriously doubt this.

Cosmopolitan - it's my guilty pleasure. Usually my sister buys it then I read it.

New Scientist - usually has some good and vaguely interesting stuff.
Lucky Break - the stories are a bit trashy most of the time, it's all real people and stuff, but I really like doing the puzzles and it only costs like $3.
But my favourite is Women's Health.

I don't read many magazines. I used to subscribe to Horsewyse and Dogs Life, because I love animals. Now I sometimes read Girlfriend (but I mostly buy it for the free stuff ).
