Question Writing - June 24th 2012, 01:02 PM

I've always enjoyed writting but I've never been any good at it :\

Sometimes i have good idea's but i cant get them down on paper, when i do finally get it on paper its nothing like how i wanted it to be.

Is there anything i can to to get want i want down on paper?

I know i cant exspect it to just come out, but its frustating that i cant get what I'm trying to say out.

Find a calm environment, get a pad of paper and a pen you can write quickly with.

Then just think about what it is you want to write about. The first thing that comes to mind, write it down. Keep going until you have perhaps a page of ideas. From that you can narrow it down by eliminating any bad ideas, then you can use a second page to try and organise the ideas you've come up with; giving it a bit of structure, if you're writing a story then perhaps writing down any other ideas for it you have. Hope this helps.

Sometimes just writing out every thought you have on a subject without going back and editing or changing things can help get stuff going.

Also, the editing process is your friend just as much as the actual act of writing itself If you write something and you're not sure it came out right, just keep writing and go back to it later on (and that may mean years from the time you first write it).
