Smile John Green - July 15th 2013, 09:07 PM

I know there must be some people on TH who like John Green's books. Or maybe even some nerdfighters out there?
So who likes his books? And which one is your favorite?
My favorite is either TFIOS or Paper Towns.

I've only read The Fault in Our Stars so far, but I loved it and it's probably one of, if not my favourite book.
I am going to read Looking for Alaska when I get around to it too.

I've only read Looking for Alaska, but I've been meaning to read The Fault in Our Stars and Paper Towns. I've heard nothing but good things about his other books.

I've read LFA and TFIOS. Think I preferred LFA. Certainly the first half of it anyway. The second half started to grate on me when he acted like an entitled little shit.

I've read all of John Green's books and my favourite is by far Looking For Alaska. Paper Towns and An Abundance of Katherines were also good reads. Personally, I found The Fault In Our Stars to be kind of a let down. There was a lot of hype and everyone said it was John Green's best book to date, but I don't know, there was just something about it that I didn't like!

I've read the FIOS and really really liked it, not necessarily because of what happens but because I really, really like his writing style.

John Green is my favorite Author still currently alive, he's up there with great dudes like Homer and J.R.R. Tolkein in my mind.

I love John Green's books too. (I couldn't possibly pick a favorite, though.) Also, I'm a nerdfighter.

The only book I've read so far by John Green was Paper Towns but I loved it! I'm definitely interested in checking out his other books!

He's my favorite author. TFiOS is the first book I've read that I could say is the closest to being my favorite (it's really hard for me to pick a favorite book). Actually, most of the tattoos I want have something to do with John Green. I'm a nerd fighter but I don't usually like calling myself one. My second favorite is probably LFA, and third is Paper Towns. They may be equal, because I like them for different reasons. I still have to read Abundance of Katherines and some of the short stories.

I seriously hated The Fault in Our Stars. I'm not a fan of the author, either.

Re: John Green - July 25th 2013, 09:56 PM

Well, I doubt any of his books could be bad, and to tell you the truth here, I didn't know he wrote books until this April. Dude, I heard about John Green from his Crash Course World History videos on YouTube that my teacher was so obsessed over. Dude, John's hilarious in those and then, so, I Googled him to see if his name was really John Green or if that was a staged name, and whoa! He writes!

I've only read Paper Towns, and I couldn't put it down! I LOVED it, I could relate so much to the main character Margo, and I love his writing style, its like mine... you know, the very deep words and connections to other parts of the book, everything flows wonderfully... he is really good. Honestly, I might read another one of his books, I'm just not sure when or if I'll have time to fit a book in to my upcoming scheduel
