Best book of 2016 - December 23rd 2016, 12:20 PM

What was the best book you've read this year?

Mine was The nightingale by Kristin Hannah.

For me it was Wide Awake and Dreaming: A Memoir by Julie Flygare.

That sounds relatively good. I might try and read it next year!

My favorite was a series because I can't pick just one. The Gifting series by K.E. Ganshert.

There is nothing beautiful about the wreckage of a human being.
There is nothing pretty about damage, about pain, about heartache.
What is beautiful is their strength, their resilience, their fortitude
as they display an ocean of courage when they pick through the
wreckage of their life to build something beautiful brand new,
against every odd that is stacked against them. Nikita Gill

Beneath the Skin by Kyla Stone

I can do it
I'll get through it
But Im only human
And I bleed when I fall down
Im only human
And I crash and I break down
Your words in my head, knives in my heart
You build me up and then I fall apart
'Cause Im only human, yeah

I read Winter Girls at least once a year. I love that book so much!

Mine would have to be Laurus by Eugene Vodolazkin

It was such an interesting read that just sparked my interest the second I picked up - I partially loved the little funny scenes with Foma the Holy Fool. Man was he hilarious
