Auto-buy authors? - May 25th 2017, 04:24 AM

Does anyone have any? An author or authors whose books you buy whether or not you've read the synopsis etc?

I don't really think I do. I think Joe Hill and Jodi Picoult are the closest to auto buy authors I have. But, I stopped reading Jodi Picoult a couple years ago after I read two of her books and was super disappointed. I did pick her new book up last year though and am hoping she'll come out with something else in the next couple of years.

Robert Galbraith, Tana French, and more recently Jo Nesbo are authors that I'll grab as soon as I find out there's a new book on the shelf.

wanderlust consumed her;
foreign hearts & exotic minds compelled her.
she had a gypsy soul
and a vibrant heart for the unknown.

Jon Ronson. He's written books like the Psychopath Test and Men Who Stare At Goats which I believe was made into a film which I have yet to watch. His books are really funny and interesting to read because they're so odd and out there. They're non-fiction, but I'd recommend them to anyone who fancies learning about conspiracy theories and the like!

Also, any books by Oliver Sacks I usually go for. Again, he's a non-fiction writer of psychology books. I've yet to actually read most of them but I read one called Hallucinations and it really opened my eyes to how common it is for people who aren't necessarily mental ill to experience hallucinations. It was a really easy read but also very good!

A paradox:
The things you donít need to liveó
books, art, cinema, wine, and so onó
are the things you need to live
