Not only is February 14 Valentine's Day, but it's also Book Giving Day!
A book is a versatile gift that can be given to almost everyone, yet the overwhelming number of genres and authors allows the giver to choose something that the receiver would surely enjoy.
Do you like giving or receiving books? What was the last book you gave someone or received as a gift?

I am actually part of a book exchange group on Discord! We have general book-related and general-general chats too.
I enjoy gifting books but I am not too terribly fond of being gifted books because I am super picky about what I read. For example, in the book exchange server mentioned above, I participated in the November 2021 one. I was gifted two books that were super meh and had me 'nope' from reading. I'm still recovering from the trauma of shitty books to have been able to read consistently in 2022.
But anyways, I think if you know the person well enough and they know you, book exchanges can be a very pleasant experience!

Sounds like a neat server to be part of.
I love to receive books and gift books. I think the last book I gifted was Metro 2033 and the other books in the trilogy and it was for my husband.
