TH Book Club: July Selection - May 28th 2017, 03:58 AM

I wanted to do classics. I don't know much about the content of a lot of these books so it is possible for there to be some triggering content.

This poll will close in five days. Animal Farm and Picture of Dorian Gray and Brave New World are relatively short. I am not sure about Jane Eyre.

I'd recommend Brave New World. Just as you said it's relatively short, but written in a fine style. It's a very compelling story.

I want it to be the poet's Camelot:
green grass and high towers and ladies in gowns
and warriors strewing their paths with flowers.
I want minstrels and laughter!

I know a number of people in my book club who really enjoyed Brave New World.

Jane Eyre is one of my favorite books, but it's definitely longer than the rest. Picture of Dorian Grey is great too.

wanderlust consumed her;
foreign hearts & exotic minds compelled her.
she had a gypsy soul
and a vibrant heart for the unknown.

This poll is closing soon and so far it looks as if we are going to have a tie.

If we do end up having a tie we will read one book in July and one of the books in August.

Ediy: we have a tie. So, we will read the Picture of Dorian Gray in July and Brave New World by Aldous Huxley in August.
