True stories - January 30th 2018, 09:13 PM

personally i dont enjoy true stories as much as it's basically a recounting of something that happening, especially with the authors life stories when it's something like that. I also preffer going into a fictional world that i can dwell in when i am reading a book that i love
but i did manage to get through Dave Pelzers trilogy of true stories, which are divided into his early life (A child called it), teens (The lost boy) and adult life (A man named Dave)

I don't tend to read a ton of non-fiction novels. The reason is that a lot of them can be quite boring. While fiction books can be boring ... it seems to happen a lot more with non-fiction and I think that has to do with the fact that a lot of the time non-fiction books are written in a dry manner ... and can be really dense.

There are a few non-fiction (real life) books that I have enjoyed though so I try and make an effort to read them periodically. I am hoping to attempt to read at least 5-6 non-fiction books this upcoming year! Hoping to get to When Breath Becomes Air sometime in February too.
